The Institute of Interactive Systems and Data Science at TU Graz has an open position, available from 1st November 2020 (earlier possible) for an initial fixed-term of 1.5 years with the option to extend, for a

Full Time (40 hours/week)

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Designing and implementing high-performance, scalable architectures
  • Implementing and developing TU Graz research information services, including repository services
  • Ensuring the integration of new solutions into the existing system architecture
  • Maintaining code quality, integrity and ensuring responsiveness of applications
  • Consulting on technical requirements for advanced digital research and publication services
  • Sharing knowledge and best-practices through technical documentation

Required skills and experience:

  • Ongoing or completed studies in software engineering, computer science, telematics, electrical engineering, automation technology or similar
  • 3+ years demonstrated experience developing and maintaining interactive, data-driven Web applications (using back-end programming languages such as Python or Java and frameworks Spring Boot or Quarkus, Flask or Django; front-end programming languages such as Javascript or Typescript and frameworks such as ReactJS, Vue or Angular Typescript)
  • Experience with software development best practices and methodologies desirable (scrum, test driven development, version control and refactoring)
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently as well as collaboratively in teams and with users
  • Experience working with and contributing to open source software projects of advantage
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

For this position we offer a gross salary staring with € 3.184,6 /month (full-time basis, 14x per year). Depending on your experience and qualification, overpayment is possible.
