Junior Researcher

We are looking for a junior researcher for the Modeling and Control of Renewable Energy Systems

The Area Automation and Control at BEST - Bioenergy and Sustainable Technologies GmbH focuses on the optimal operation of sustainable biorefinery and renewable energy systems, the optimal interaction of different technologies and systems and the highly automated operation management by new digital services. To reinforce our team in Graz we are looking for

a junior researcher with the possibility to do your PhD.

Your Duties

• Participation in international research projects on thermal and hybrid energy systems
• Execution of experimental campaigns
• Modelling and simulation
• Controller and observer design
• Implementation and validation of the controls at test and demonstration plants
• Publication of research results in scientific journals and at international conferences

Your Profile

• Completed diploma or master's degree in a technical field of study (e.g. electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, information & computer engineering or chemical and process engineering or similar)
• Interest in complex scientific problems
• Experience in modelling or control engineering
• Experience with MATLAB, Simulink
• Structured way of working, flexibility, team spirit
